  ÜBERRASCHENDE POLE-POSITION FÜR MÜHLNER MOTORSPORT IM MICHELIN 992 ENDURANCE CUP 

Spa-Francorchamps, Belgium (4 September 2026):
Mühlner Motorsport has been awarded pole position for this year’s Michelin 992 Endurance Cup at Spa-Francorchamps, after original Top 5 Shoot-Out qualifying pace-setters AF Motorsport had Dylan Pereira’s timesheet topping lap disallowed.

Pereira had looked to have sealed pole for Saturday’s race in the No.17 Porsche 911 GT3 Cup (992 I) with a scintillating time some 1.7 seconds clear in the single lap shoot-out, after the AF Motorsport squad ended the regulation three qualifying sessions second on aggregate times. 

As a result of an indiscretion with the AF car, though, Mühlner’s PRO class entry with drivers Conrad Tox Leveau, Joshua Bednarski and Rolando Saca will line-up on pole position tomorrow morning thanks to Leveau’s Shoot-Out lap of 2m21.627s. 

Alongside on the front row of the grid will be LMR Motorsport’s AM-B Porsche shared by Dieter Svepes, Andre Marques and Leandro Martins – Svepes’ Shoot-Out lap was a mere 0.047s shy of Leveau’s best. 

The No.920 Chazel Technologie Course AM-S class car of Marc Guillot, Gilles Colombani, Paul Trojani and Jean-Mathieu Leandri will start third, ahead of Red Camel-Jordans.nl and the AF Motorsport PRO-AM Porsche of Pereira, Andre Fernandes, Angelo Fontana and Christian Potolicchio. 

Red Camel-Jordans.nl were also impacted by a penalty, Rik Breukers’ Shoot-Out time deleted after running wide while pushing hard in sector three. He, his brother Luc, father Ivo and Fabian Danz start fourth ahead of AF.

Qualifying one was halted by red flags before anyone had set a representative time, as a result of an unfortunate spin for the LMR Porsche of Marques. The session resumed with just 11 minutes remaining and Leandri in the AM-S class Chazel Technologie car set the initial pace with a time of 2m23.459 seconds – which remained the best of Q1.

Danz, in the Red Camel car, produced a best effort of 2m24.110s but opted to pit before the chequered flag. His lap was still good enough for second to Leandri with Potolicchio third fastest for AF Motorsport, half a second shy of Danz.

Bednarski was the early pace-setter in Q2 for Mühlner, a time of 2m22.438s, but Luc Breukers in the Red Camel Porsche soon eclipsed that with a lap of 2m21.631s and he then pitted the next time around, satisfied with his performance. 

With five minutes of the second session to run Red Camel were on provisional pole with an average time of 2m22.870s, just over a second clear of AF Motorsport, Fontana driving the No.17 in Q2, and Mühlner held third. Chazel, though, moved less than a tenth ahead of the Mühlner car on aggregate with a late lap of 2m25.922s from Colombani.

Rik Breukers took over the Red Camel car for Q3 and he immediately made an impact, producing a first true flyer of 2m20.610s to increase the squad’s advantage on aggregate to 1.5 seconds over Mühlner’s entry. Leveau piloted the No.21 in the third session and was eight tenths shy of Breukers.

With five minutes left Paul Meijer became the fastest driver of all with a lap of 2m20.244s in the AM-SILVER class Theeba Motorsport by Quanloop EST1 Racing car, but with no time having been set by the team in Q1, due to track limits penalties, Meijer’s effort didn’t impact the overall order.

Pereira joined the sub-2m21s club with two excellent laps, a best of 2m20.522s, in the AF Motorsport Porsche which meant second on aggregate at the end of the three regulation qualifying sessions, around 0.6 seconds shy of Red Camel. 

Outside those progressing to the Top 5 Shoot-Out, sixth fastest on aggregate was the No.78 Speed Lover car of Nick Hunter, Garry Terclavers and Kurt Hansen, seventh was HRT Performance with Steven Gambrell, Massimo Vignali and Seth Gilmore, and eighth was the Theeba Motorsport entry of Meijer, and brother and sister Ali and Reema Juffali.

Competitors are on track again this evening at 20.50 local time for a one hour night practice session. All attention then turns to the start of the 2026 Michelin 992 Endurance Cup race, at 09.45 local time on Saturday.
